I saved the easiest hor douvres for last. This is my vegan tvp burger mix shaped into meatballs and fried, then wrapped with pillsbury crescent dough. The almond dip is what sets this recipe apart. Zucchini Blossom Poppers

Zucchini Blossom Popper

vegetarian_circleWith the excitement of my container garden finally flowering, I couldn’t wait to eat some of its fruits. So when I woke up to see my zucchini plants bursting with bright orange flowers I decided it was time to do some research. I had read about eating zucchini flowers in the past, but never actually went anywhere with the idea, until now.

Here is the recipe I came up with on the fly, quite literally. I went outside picked, washed, and patted dry the flowers then grabbed some things from the fridge and spice rack, and off I went.

Cmac’s Yummy Strained Yogurt


The first time I tried strained yogurt it was unflavored, I liked the texture and its spread ability but I felt it needed some flavor. After quite a few attempts I think I’ve finally got my favorite snack. Its a cheap, fairly quick, full of flavor way to impress your guests. On a side note this is my first attempt at a photo journal of me making one of my recipes, the photography definitely needs some work but it does the job.

Southern basic corn bread with a twist


After a lot of research on corn bread I found out that the sweet cornbread you find is more of a New England thing where the salty or spicy corn bread is more of a southern tradition. Although my friends from New Orleans tell me it depends on what house your eating it at. So I found a really good basic corn bread recipe with a nice texture and room to play. For my dinner I made the basic recipe but I will include some ideas and additions to make this a more flexible recipe. Enjoy.
